1. Bruges: Boat trip on the romantic canals
Welcome by our guide. With accompanying of our professional guide we make a walk through the historical and romantic city centre Bruges. On this walk we will see numerous curiosities such as the Princely Beguinage, the Lake of Love, the Church of Our Lady (the statue Madonna with child made by Michelangelo is one of its many treasures), the Fish market, the Burg Square with its unique gothic Town Hall, the basilica of the Holy Blood, the Market square with its Cloth Halls and Belfry tower,... 2. Bruges: The chocolate capital
Welcome by our guide. During this excursion we reveal the secrets of the famous Belgian chocolate. With our guide we visit the first chocolate museum in Belgium "Choco story" and our guide will lead you through this unique place and we end our visit with a chocolate tasting During this excursion we make a 2nd stop at a real family owned chocolate manufacturer. In this traditional family business we follow the process of making chocolate. A tasting of chocolate and a box of chocolates (250 grams Belgian pralines) are included.Meeting point: Square 't Zand at 2.30 pm (afternoon)

3. Bruges and beer
Welcome by our guide. With accompanying of our professional guide we make a walk through the historical and romantic Bruges. On this walk we will see numerous curiosities such as the Beguinage, the Lake of Love, Church of Our Lady, Burg Square,... On our way we make a stop at the brewery „De Halve Maan?. This is the last remaining active brewery in the centre of Bruges and it was created in 1564. Experienced guides will teach you everything about malt and hops. We end our visit of the brewery with tasting of a “Brugse Zot” beer.Meeting point: Square 't Zand at 10.00 am

4. Bruges and lace
Afternoon program 14h00 Welcome by our guide. On this walk we will explore a few lesser known parts of Bruges. We walk along the old ramparts with its windmills, the English monastery, Saint Anna's church, Saint Sebastian's Archers guild, the Jerusalem Chapel,… We visit the Lace centre housed in the 15th century almshouses for a demonstration of lacework – workers demonstrate us how to make bobbin lace. We can also admire lace from the 18th and 19th century, one by one valuable.Meeting point: Square 't Zand at 2.30 pm (afternoon)

Day Tours outside of Bruges

1. Ghent and the Lys region
Duration: +/- 8 hours Morning Welcome by our guides and transfer by luxury coach to Ghent. Visit to the historical centre of Ghent, place of birth of Charles V. We start our visit with St. Bavo's Cathedral and the famous painting "The Mystic Lamb" of the brothers van Eyck. From the Saint Michael’s bridge, Ghent’s most impressive bridge, we have a beautiful view of the three towers (St. Nicholas? Church, the Belfry and St. Bavo’s Cathedral) and the exquisite façades of the Graslei and the Korenlei. Our next stop is at the famous Castle of the Counts, a magnificent castle built in 1180 (visit of the outside). We continue our walking excursion in the romantic Patershol quarter and we have a look at inner courtyard of the Museum of Folklore. Other places of interest which are visited in Ghent are: the Square "Vrijdagsmarkt" with statue of Jacob van Artevelde, the gothic Town Hall, the beguinage ...Lunch in a typical restaurant in the city centre of Ghent 3 course regional menu, drinks not included
Afternoon: We visit the Lys region and the art villages Deurle and Latem. We make a walk along the houses were famous artists such as Karel and Gustave Van de Woestijne, Constant Permeke, Gustaaf and Leon De Smet, George Minne, Paul Delvaux and many others used to work or live at the end of the 19th C. – beginning of the 20th C. This period, known as „Latemse School" dominated the Belgian artistic scene during two generations. Transfer back to Bruges Return around 18h00.

2. Ypres and the battle fields
Duration: +/- 8 hoursMorning: Welcome by our guides and transfer by luxury coach to Ypres. Arrival in the city centre of Ypres. In Ypres we visit the old city centre, including : Cloth Hall, Town Hall, St. Martin’s Cathedral, St. George’s Memorial Church, Old Fish Market, the Menin Gate, the ramparts, ... and the totally renewed peace museum "In Flanders Fields". Thanks to its advanced techniques, the "interactive war museum" brings history back to live. Lunch in a typical restaurant in the city centre of Ypres. 3 course regional menu, drinks not included.
Afternoon: We continue our journey along the three front towns (Ieper, Diksmuide and Veurne) and follow the traces of the Great War, left behind in the Flemish landscape. In Diksmuide we visit : the "Trench of Death", a last remainder of the trenches from the First World War, the IJzertoren (The IJzer Tower), build in memory of the Battle of the IJzer. On top of this tower, with the inscription A.V.V - V.V.K. (All for Flanders - Flanders for Christ), we enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Flemish landscape. Our next stop is in Vladslo. We make a stop on this German cemetery, because of its remarkable symbolic statue "The Mourning Couple from Käthe Kollwitz". We end the day in Veurne, the old Spanish garrison town which offers numerous treasures e.g. its Town Hall, St. Walburga Church, the Spanish Pavilion, the Market Square, ...
